about
In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I have temporarily moved my practice to a solely online video/phone format. I am committed to continuing to provide support for individuals during this difficult time.
I believe we are all experts of our own path and I strive to work collaboratively with individuals and families to support self-discovery and empowerment. I am a clinician with over 10 years of experience treating adults, adolescents, and children with experiences ranging from acute trauma to depression, anxiety, adjustment and grief. Specializing in EMDR and IFS therapies as well as CBT+, DBT and mindfulness (see blog post for more information); I utilize a variety of effective strategies to help individuals and families heal and adapt to their present circumstances.
My strength as a therapist comes from my propensity to provide compassionate care while also bringing an element of humor and authenticity to facilitate a trusting therapeutic alliance. I have a broad range of experience, including providing combat-trauma treatment and military sexual trauma treatment to veterans, substance abuse treatment to adults and adolescents, LGTBQ issues, trauma treatment for adults and children, family therapy, and non-directive play therapy with younger children.
Finding a therapist can be overwhelming. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to give you the opportunity to ask specific questions, hear my voice, and get a sense of who I am before our first visit.
